Terms and conditions of CertAI Trusted Responsible AI Mark

1. CertAI Trusted Responsible AI Mark – Terms and Conditions

By downloading and using the CertAI Trusted Responsible AI Mark ("the Mark"), you agree to the following Terms and Conditions set by CertAI ("CertAI")

2. Purpose of the Mark

The CertAI Trusted Responsible AI Mark is a personal, symbolic recognition of basic awareness of responsible AI principles, based on self-declared completion of a short quiz and reading material. It is not a formal legal or technical certification under the EU AI Act or other regulatory frameworks.

3. Restricted Use & Validity

• The Mark may only be used by the person to whom it was issued and only in personal, non-commercial contexts (e.g., CVs, LinkedIn profiles, portfolios).
• The Mark is valid for a period of one (1) year from the date of issue.
• CertAI reserves the right to change or update the design, content, or scope of the Mark at any time.

4. Prohibited Use

• You may not misrepresent the Mark as a formal certification, proof of system-level compliance, or endorsement by any regulatory body.
• The Mark may not be used for commercial gain, product marketing, company branding, or the promotion of services without explicit written permission from CertAI.
• Misuse, manipulation, or public misrepresentation of the Mark may result in immediate revocation and public notice of withdrawal.

5. CertAI Public Register & Data Processing

• By accepting these terms, you agree to be listed in the CertAI Public Register of Personal Trusted Responsible AI Mark holders, which may include your name, year of issue, and country of residence or affiliation.
• You explicitly consent, in line with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, to CertAI processing your personal data for this purpose.
• You may request correction or removal at any time by contacting connect@certai.ai, subject to verification and review of revocation rights.

6. Renewal & Costs

• After expiration, holders may apply for renewal of the Mark. This may require a re-test or updated conditions.
• An administrative fee for renewal may apply and will be transparently published on the CertAI website at the time of renewal.

7. Revocation Rights

CertAI reserves the right to revoke or suspend the Mark at any time and without prior notice if:

• There is evidence of misuse, fraud, or misrepresentation,
• The holder engages in conduct that undermines the principles of responsible AI,
• Or for any other reason deemed necessary by CertAI in order to protect the integrity of the Mark.
• There is non-compliance with financial obligations by the holder of the Mark

8. Limitation of Liability

CertAI shall not be held liable for any claims, damages, or losses resulting from the use, misuse, or interpretation of the Mark by its holders or third parties.
